This wine is AdegaMãe’s tribute to the centenary Torres Vedras Carnival – the most portuguese of all portuguese carnivals!
Deeply rooted in local culture and merging both rural and urban influences, over the last century the Torres Vedras Carnival has evolved into an event of exceptional magnitude, summoning the very best political and customs satire.
The first Carnival displays in Torres Vedras date back to the 16th century, but it wasn’t until 1923 that the city held its first organized celebration.
Nowadays, the Torres Vedras Carnival is the most inspired metaphor for irreverence and social transgression, a celebration that established itself through its authenticity and the defiance of any conceivable limits in the intricate imaginary of carnival devilry, attracting thousands of people far beyond the city’s horizons.
The Carnival serves as a true inspiration for its region, history and people. And this wine, a pure expression of its birthplace, Torres Vedras, is our tribute.

Touriga Nacional, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Franca.
TASTING NOTES
Red coloured wine, with average depth, showing signs of evolution; good aromatic richness with noticeable aromatic progress of floral notes of violet and red berries, a hint of green pepper, provided by one of the varieties in the blend, leads to a spicy aromatic finish. Medium to fully-bodied wine, expertly framed by well-developed tannins, combined with good acidity and ripe fruit; delivers a delicate, sharp finish.
