AdegaMãe Terroir Red 2016: The Best Red Wine of Lisbon 2025 at the 2025 Lisbon Wine Competition

Promoted by the Lisbon Regional Wine Commission (CVR Lisboa), the 2025 Lisbon Wine Competition revealed the best wines of the region, in a contest that featured over 150 wines evaluated by the jury.

We are delighted to share that AdegaMãe Terroir Red 2016 was awarded Best Red Wine of Lisbon 2025, along with a Gold Medal.

Also in the red wine category, AdegaMãe Castelão 2021 received a Gold Medal, further highlighting the quality and consistency of AdegaMãe wines.  

AdegaMãe Terroir Red 2016

Grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting notes: Quite complex, with hints of resin, mineral and black fruit. Vigorous and structed on the palate, this wine delivers ripe and intense tannins, wich are perfectly balanced.

AdegaMãe Castelão 2021

Grape variety: Castelão
Tasting notes: Red-coloured wine with medium depth; smooth aroma, average intensity, still showing signs of its youth; primary aromas of red fruit, a dash of spices and a discrete presence of wood wich adds up to a rich aromatic profile. Sound freshness on the palate, with soft, unobtrusive tannins enveloped in ripe fruit. Full in the mouth, it delivers a well-balanced finish.
