Dory. New wines and… new look!

Dory. New wines and… new look!

July 27, 2021

With summer upon us, Adegamãe unveils new wines in its flagship range — Dory, the label that acts as a tribute to the portuguese cod fishing heritage — dorys were small fishing boats manned by portuguese fishermen in the “Faina Maior” (Cod Fishing).

The name Dory is inspired by the history of these small, flat-bottomed boats, used by brave fishermen in the most epic of fishing campaigns across the North Atlantic, left to their own devices in rough waters.

Navigating a Dory was an art form.

And so is this wine.

New arrivals in the market  include a new 2020 harvest of the iconic White Dory, as well as the first Rosé in the Dory range, two wines that stand out due to their Atlantic profile, showing tremendous freshness and minerality.

“The White Dory became a wine of great value in its segment. It’s an excellent summer wine: fresh and aromatic, perfect for toasts and moments of celebration, it pairs brilliantly with fish and shellfish. This new harvest honours the original Dory profile» states AdegaMãe winemaker Diogo Lopes.

“Our new Rosé also builds on the Dory identity and is a natural step within the context of our flagship brand. A fresh, vibrant and delicate wine», he concludes.

Both these wines will be displaying redesigned Dory labels. Ten years after AdegaMãe presented its first wine, the new look marks the launch of new labels. A first step in the presentation of the new AdegaMãe brand design which will be rolled out after summer.
