Revista de Vinhos Awards. AdegaMãe highlighted at “Best of Portugal”

Best of the Year 2020’s ceremony, organized by Revista de Vinhos on this February beggining, has came once more to highlight AdegaMãe, by electing five wines from our Lisbon atlantic terroir to the “Best of Portugal” category.

Right away, both top shelf wines AdegaMãe Terroir White 2016 and AdegaMãe Terroir Red 2015, both released only in years with exceptional quality, were punctuated with 18 points each. These wines, great exclusivity productions, are the maximum expression of the AdegaMãe atlantic terroir.

Also with 18 points, it was highlighted AdegaMãe 221, 2015 harvest, a blend made with the best Alvarinho from Lisbon Wine Region and the best Alvarinho from Vinho Verde Region, an experience signed by the winemakers Diogo Lopes and Anselmo Mendes. 221, in a reference to two regions, two winemakers, one grape variety, honouring the journey of the portuguese white wines queen variety.

Still in the white wines, AdegaMãe has won 17,5 for the Riesling Late Release 2015, the striking single grape wine put on market on the beggining of the summer 2020, with this exciting variety reveiling in full atlantic terroir, a profile with great complexity, in harmony with its atributes quite peculiars, speacially its distinct acidity.

Pointing out – and despite the wine is not available at the market yet – Revista de Vinhos highlighted also with 17,5 points AdegaMãe Vital 2018. The tasting in advance of this single grape wine, in a report oportunity at AdegaMãe, has just bringing even more enthusiams around what is about to come. It is the first Vital produced at the state, with old hillside vines grapes at full Serra de Montejunto. the final blend mixes different winemaking techniques, experienced by the winemaker Diogo Lopes. To be launched during 2021.
